On 26th July ICKRA will host the public discussion “State of exceptions: emerging solidarities”.

The attempt to deal with local crises necessitates the emergence of new solidarities. But this demand for solidarity seldom accounts for the exceptional experiences of the oppressed.

Does solidarity by default imply a mutual response? How could one trace its artificialness or campness? Is true solidarity possible?
